Commemorate National Sorry Day with My Place

Every year on 26 May, Australians acknowledge the mistreatment of Aboriginal people, particularly those belonging to the Stolen Generations and their families. In the My Place episode ‘Laura’, one girl reflects on how policies of forced child removal affected her own family members.

In a speech to the Make It Australian campaign, the Shadow Minister for Communications pledged that if elected, the ALP Government would convene a Taskforce to conclude the Australian and Children’s Screen Content Review and implement a consistent set of support mechanisms for Australian drama, documentary and children’s content.
