The terms and conditions depend on whether the product has been purchased for home use (Home Licence) or for educational use (Educational Licence).

Educational Use means using the program only in schools, other educational institutions, community groups, churches, libraries, government departments, correctional facilities and military institutions.

Home Use means that the program can be enjoyed on your personal device but it cannot be sold, hired, traded, given away, shown in public or made available on the internet.

Products purchased under an Educational Licence are only allowed for Educational Use and products purchased under a Home Licence are only allowed for personal Home Use.

Please note that sale prices for education licenses listed on the ACTF website are geared towards single teachers or schools that wish to purchase items for their classrooms. Other educational institutions such as libraries or educational portals with wider reach enter into specific license agreements with the ACTF to reflect this reach through a different pricing model. If you wish to enter into a bespoke educational license agreement, please contact us at info@actf.com.au.

You may make modifications to the Educational Resource or program’s components, such as amending a worksheet or changing the format of a clip. Any such modification remains the property of the ACTF and must be treated like an original component of the Educational Resource or program.

If you make hardcopy printouts of the Educational Resource or program, such as by printing worksheets or an image contained within the resource, all copies should be recorded and reported to the Copyright Agency Limited, just as you would report a photocopy of an article from a journal.

You can't copy or otherwise distribute a Home-Use program; even for personal use; and you must not make it available to anyone outside of your home.

Can I copy the program off-air?

Provided you have a Screenrights Licence, you may copy off-air for educational purposes. This includes copying programs to keep in the library, or to show to students as part of a class. Further details can be found on the Screenrights website.
